Options
Offshore | Locating part of your business in another country, typically in Asia, such as India. This provides access to high quality resources at a lower cost compared to Western Europe. |
Nearshore | The same as Offshoring, except that the location is much closer (near), typically in Eastern Europe. This is an increasingly popular location since it offers similar access to high quality and lower cost resource. With the additional benefits of being on the same or similar time zone, with less travel time for face to face management and client meetings. We also find that if the nearshore team need to communicate with other employees and clients where English is a second language, then the communication can be easier |
Outsource | Outsourcing part of your business for a third party to run on your behalf. Best suited to mature and stable areas of your organisation that are like what other organisations do – meaning you can benefit from the outsourcer’s economies of scale |
Hybrid | A popular option where a third-party employs resources on your behalf in a nearshore or offshore location. You still manage the people. This can be a good option where you don’t want to setup a company in the remote location, so can’t offshore/nearshore, but the nature of what you are moving isn’t well suited to a full outsource. |
Frequently our offshoring, nearshoring and outsourcing services are part of a broader transformation program, but they can be used standalone.
